India 5G Spectrum Auction – Jio 5G Spectrum Details

The recent auction held by Deportment of Telcom (DOT) for spectrum in various low  frequency bands (600 MHz, 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz, 2500 MHz), mid bands (3300 MHz) and high band (26 GHz) frequency bands.

Reliance Jio appeared as the top bidder, putting up over Rs 88,078 crore to picking up frequency spectrum across the 700MHz, 800MHz, 1800MHz, 3300MHZ, and 26GHz bands.

    • 800 MHz band is acquired in 4 circles with 5MHz bandwidth its again a FDD band
  • Jio  Mid band
    • 1800 MHz band is acquired in  6 circles with 10MHz bandwidth
    • 3300 MHz band is acquired in all 22 circles with 100MHz bandwidth, its a TDD band
  • Jio High Band/mmWave
    • 26 GHz band is acquired in all 22 circles with 1000MHz bandwidth with TDD duplex
